Cycling vietnam holidayDay 1: HaNoi arrival

Pick up from airport and transfer to hotel.

Day 2: Halong Bay: Discover two incredible stalagmite caves on lime stone mountain:

8 .30 am: Meet at Hotel, guide of cruise company pick up you in hotel . Drive to Halong City (3.5 hrs) thru the Red River Delta with its verdant farmland dotted with local villages.

Welcome aboard. Set sail through breathtaking scenery of the Bay while lunch is served in her gourmet restaurant. Visit the incredible stalagmite cave of Sung Sot on lime Stone Mountain. Sunset cruise to serene Bai Tu Long Bay to see such amazing karsts of different formations as: Cong Troi , Hang Buom , Yen Ngua , and Human Head . Drop anchor at a quite inlet for a leisurely swim with towering limestone mountain backdrop or visit Hang Trinh Groto (one of the quietest caves in the bay, where you can walk up to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the Bay and the traditional sails. Enjoy great sunset dinner in our ambient restaurant. Chat with your fellow travelers in the bar or go night fishing before retiring to the comfort of your cabin. (B,L, D) . Overnight on boat

Day 3 Discover HaLong Bay:

 A t sunrise, enjoy Taichi exercise yourself. International breakfast is served while cruising to the other areas of Bai Tu Long Bay. Embark a bamboo sampan rowed by a local girl to explore the fascinating floating fishing village  . We will visit local houses, fish farms, and schools or kayak through water tunnels in to hidden lagoons to see unique sea creatures and colorful coral reefs. Back on boat of traditional junk, gourmet lunch will be served whilst the Cruiser keeps on its route through the Bay back to Halong City. Check out after 11:30 before returning to the Jetty for transfer to the private coach back to Hanoi.

Day 4 Hanoi cycling. ( +- 40 km )

You will ride along a bank of Red river, through farms, fruit plantations on the old riverside in the north of Hanoi, visit temples and practice Buddhist way of life . Continue cycling  visit  rices-noodle making in local family, silk farm… Boat trip crossing rive, continue cycling to Son Tay,  picnic lunch box . Pm visit Duong Lam village by bicycle, driving back to Hanoi by mini bus. Transfer to train station , take overnight train to Hue. Overnight on train. (B, L)

Day 5: HaNoi to Hue -country side cycling ( +-35km )

Arrival Hue in the morning transfer to Hotel, and lunch in Hue local restaurant, Afternoon cycling through Hue’s  King Royal  Palace,  a succession of Nguyen Dynasty  .  Afternoon cycling  to country side until 5PM transfer back to city.  Dinner in garden house.

Day 6 Hue to Hoi An (+- 60km asphalt road ) .

Cycling in back road of country side from Hue to VinhHai beach ( +-70 km flat asphalt road ) .

Optional  climb:  Hai van pass: 19 km ( 9km up, 10 km down, altitude +- 400m ).

Our route passes by rural villages and picturesque Lang Co lagoon, an ascent of the pass with stunning views of the coast and a thrilling 5-mile descent from the top of the green rice fields around DaNang. End of cycling in DaNang city, drive 32 km to HoiAn.

Day 7 HoiAn (+- 20km )

Cycling tour of HoiAn – country side villages in the morning for Vietnamese cooking lessons in town featuring local specialties by one of VietNam’s most talented chefs . Local  food in cooking house in HoiAn.

Day 8 : HoiAn to  MyKhe- Quang Ngai , cycling +-50 km, asphalt road

Depart early along the coast and past scenic rice village. Start coastal riding followed by coaster, lunch at some where on the way – which is also a nice place for a dip in the cooling Eastern Vietnam Sea. Driving to Quang Ngai

Day 9: Quang Ngai to Quy Nhon, cycling +- 50 km¸ asphalt road

Cycling in the back road of past rural rice villages canopied by swaying coconut palm. Arrive at the Quy Nhon town which faces a beautiful beach front.

Day 10: QuyNhon to TuyHoa, cycling +- 50, asphalt road

Back road cycling in side high way one .Our ride from QuyNhon to  Tuy Hoa  covers some of VietNam’s scenic coastline, featuring deserted blue lagoons and stone promontories.

Day 11: Tuy Hoa- NhaTrang  ( 30km )

Day 12:  NhaTrang – country side cycling ( +- 25 km ).

Driving to Dien Khanh , Cycling in country side visit village, rice field , fruit garden. Riding back to the city visit Thap Ba ( Pogana Temple ). Pm relaxing on beach. Overnight in Nhatrang. (B) 

Day 13:  NhaTrang – Saigon-Vinh Long ( HoChiMinh city ) no cycling day

Transfer to airport for flight to Saigon in early morning. Upon arrival driving to Cai Be  town . Cai Be which is well-known for its floating market. On arrival in Cai Be, take a motor boat to visit the floating market ( if we are on time ) and watch the locals trading fruit and many other commodities on their vessels.

Keep cruising to Vinh Long through a series of small canals to experience the charms of the Upper Mekong Delta. Stop at a Bonsai Gardener’s home for a fabulous lunch including the signature dish of “Deep fried Elephant ear fish”. Enjoy the lunch served in the heart of the garden accompanied by traditional southern Vietnamese folk music.

Towards the end of the day, arrive at the home of a local family whose house is built on stilts over the water. These people will be our hosts for this evening and will tell us more about inhabitant’s life herein the Delta.(B,L,D) . Overnight in home stay

Day 14 : Vinh Long- SaiGon  ( cycling 20km )

After having breakfast, cruise to Vinh Long town on riverboat. Visit some small family businesses to see how coconut candy and crispy rice popcorn, potteries and bricks are made. On the way back to Ho Chi Minh City by van, drop in My Tho province to visit Dong Tam snake farm, one of the country’s largest snake-raising centers where venom is produced for local use and export, and an ancient religious structure in southern Vietnam – Vinh Trang pagoda.(B,L) 

Day15 : Depart SaiGon ( B)

Morning transfer to TanSonNhat Airport for flight home.
